Satelliten pimpen und Kampfroboter bauen – aus Liebe

Zum Wochenende gibts endlich mal wieder ein wenig Musik (und für nen echten Post hätte ich eh grad keine Zeit).

Das erste Lied ist mal ganz ohne Video, einfach nur zum Anhören. In “Pimp My Satellite” [MP3, Liedtext] schlägt Norm Sherman vom Drabblecast vor, doch einfach das Hubble Teleskop ein wenig aufzumotzen, wenn die da oben schon am reparieren sind. Und diese Spinner und die Hydraulik machen schon was her 😉 Und ja, ich weiß, eigentlich bin ich ein paar Tage zu spät damit, die Hubblereparatur ist längst vorbei. Soll ich euch das deswegen vorenthalten? Nein!

Beim zweiten Sänger für heute wirds schwierig. Denn wenn ich jetzt Jonathan Coulton sage, dann kommt wahrscheinlich entweder ein “Häh, wer?” oder ein “Jaja, der ist gut, kenn ich” zurück. Coulton ist aus der Singer-Songwriter Ecke und macht Lieder über Science Fiction, Technologie und Wissenschaft. Im Internet ist er sehr bekannt geworden, weil er sehr offen mit seiner Musik umgeht: Alle seine Lieder werden frei von DRM verkauft, und stehen unter einer Creative Commons Lizenz. Man hört sie deshalb in Podcasts, oder auch in Fanvideos, die in World of Warcraft erstellt werden. Beispielsweise.

Heute hab ich meinen Lieblingssong von Jonathan Coulton für euch: “The Future Soon”. Irgendwie schafft er es, Geeks, die erste Liebe, Science Fiction, und natürlich eine Armee von Kampfrobotern zu verbinden. Dass ich das Lied so gut finde sagt wahrscheinlich etwas richtig profundes über meine Jugend aus, aber egal 😉
