New video: When criminals encrypt

Today I would like to present an experiment: I have produced a ten-minute video on the topic of “When criminals encrypt”. There is also a new Youtube channel to go with it.

Deutsche Version

True crime is extremely popular right now. Not only are there numerous books about true crime, but also countless television documentaries and websites. Even a magazine (“Stern Crime”) on the subject is available. With the CrimeCon there is also a conference series for friends of authentic crime. By the way, I applied for a talk there – after all, I can tell enough about true crimes that have something to do with encryption.

Crime Digital

After having blogged about true crime dozens of times, I want to try it today for the first time with a video. For this purpose, I started a YouTube channel with the title “Kriminal Digital”. If my video is well received, I will certainly publish more there. As the name suggests, it will not only be about crimes in which encryption plays a role, but about all kinds of digital crime and forensics.

Unfortunately, the first episode of “Kriminal Digital” is only available in German (the same is unfortunately true for my Versutus comic, where some people have already asked for an English version). I’m afraid that I won’t be able to offer possible further “Kiminal Digital” episodes in English either. It would simply be too much work to make everything bilingual. Unlike Nils Kopal, whose CrypTool channel on YouTube runs successfully in English, I have decided to go with my native language.

Episode 1: When criminals encrypt

But enough of the prefaces. Here is episode 1 from the series “Kriminal Digital”:

I wish all viewers a lot of fun. I gladly accept suggestions and criticism.

If you want to add a comment, you need to add it to the German version here.
