New “Kriminal Digital” video: The yellow secret code

A new video has appeared on my YouTube channel. It is about the mysterious printer code, which I have already reported meh several times.

English version (translated with Google)

With “Kriminal Digital” I started a new YouTube channel a few weeks ago. The name says it all: I present true crimes that took place online or in which digital forensics played a role. It’s also, but not only, about encryption.

Today I published the fourth episode. It’s about the yellow dots that many color printers print out without too much being known about what’s behind them. There are two crimes that may have been solved with this code, according to press reports. Here is the video:

One more note for the English-speaking readers or viewers: YouTube offers automatically generated, English subtitles:

Quelle/Source: Youtube

By clicking on “cc” you can switch the subtitles on and off (depending on the browser, another symbol with the same meaning may be displayed at this point). By clicking on the gear wheel (third symbol from the left) you can set the language of the subtitles.

If you want to add a comment, you need to add it to the German version here.
